Omnipotence, the overarching, undisputed, undefeatable Shinjutsu, has changed the entire narrative of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex series. Despite its overwhelming presence and the abundance of the ability, we know nothing about it fundamentally or how it works. Let alone the community, which seems to grasp why Omnipotence has such a chokehold on the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex community, I’m here to let you know precisely how it works.
I bring you a Boruto: Two Blue Vortex discussion explaining Omnipotence and why it won’t work. For those of you who are confused, if you love the Boruto manga, I wanted to center this discussion around Omnipotence in the sense of exactly what it’s done to the story and why everything you’re going to suggest about utilization hasn’t worked versus what could work in the future to overcome the Jutsu and its overpowering presence.
Now, for anyone confused about Omnipotence, what it is and how it works, let me break it down with a quick overarching overview of what the story of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has done. In the last arc of Naruto: Boruto Next Generations, you have Kawaki and Boruto, whose lives have been changed due to this mysterious Jutsu known as a Shinjutsu, a progenitor to all Jutsu and more robust than them in every regard.
Now, this Jutsu, which originates from Eida (Ada), was activated through Kawaki’s desperation and his Otsutsuki bloodline, as well as Ada and her ability, Omniscience, which makes everyone fall in love with her. However, a second part of that ability has also been forgotten. Regardless of the ability to make people fall in love with her, it also inhibits anyone’s ability to harm Eida.
However, in its purest, most manifested form, you have what’s called Omnipotence—the ability to rewrite, fundamentally, the laws of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex universe, including those of the Naruto universe. I want all of you to consider this to be a massive retcon. Now, let me clarify what I mean here. I’m not saying that including Omnipotence or any of the Shinjutsu in Boruto is a retcon. I’m saying that it gives the ability to retcon the story. You can rewrite the story by saying that Omnipotence has changed the narrative.
I mean, think about it. When Momoshiki references this in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (I believe it’s chapter 83 or 84), he asks, “How many times do you believe that Omnipotence has been used? How many times do you think that the world has been rewritten?” Some of you might confuse me with Omniscience or Omnipotence. I’m probably using the words interchangeably here, so forgive me there. I’m saying Omnipotence, which is the ability to rewrite the fundamental laws of the Boruto universe, just so I’m being clear on what I’m talking about—not Omniscience, the ability to see all things, because there’s another Boruto character who has that ability that I’m working on for a blog.
Let’s go over every single route we could use to combat this because everyone’s thinking about some obvious answers. One: memories. The problem with utilizing everyone’s memories of showing Boruto with Naruto, Himawari, and Hinata as a kid is that you’re trying to combat Omnipotence, and it doesn’t work, as we’ve seen here consistently. Eida told us in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 1: “You’re better off changing new memories.” So, going in reverse to change people’s perspectives by saying, “No, this is Naruto’s son,” just won’t work fundamentally.
That’s the same issue seen when people bring up the obvious question: Ninja tech. Why does Boruto not have Ninja tech? Why does Kawaki have Ninja tech? Why does Amado know how to utilize and access it? These are all questions that should have come up. However, anything centralized around the previous concept of Boruto and his identity as Naruto’s son and Kawaki as the outsider traitor who’s come in will be reversed. It’s that simple.
I know it’s a crazy concept, but there’s no reason to break your brain over it. Think of it this way: if there’s something that’s going to affect the previous notion that they have, then it’s not going to work.
So, unfortunately, any routes of utilizing previous information, the apparent lack of information on Kawaki within the story, or the lack of records or transcripts don’t work because those are all old memories. You’re going to have to utilize something entirely different to combat that. To do that, you’re going to need new information. So, what routes do we have for that? And with that, I want to give you guys the most obvious answer.
All you need to utilize is a blood sample. By using a blood sample, you will not only be able to combat the notion of the previous Omniscience, but you’re also able to create a new memory by saying, “Hey, it doesn’t matter if Kawaki’s always been Naruto’s son, this guy has Naruto’s DNA,” and that can cause a new trigger of memory.
As I said in the previous part of the blog, I will show you an alternative route. A blood sample would be all they needed to mitigate and solve these problems. Simply showing that Boruto and Naruto have the same DNA and chemical makeup would work. Now, there are some problems with this: Boruto and Naruto cannot be compared against each other because Naruto is not around. Kawaki has sealed away Naruto and Hinata within his dimension. So, because of that, you have no way of doing it.
However, by utilizing Himawari, you can get a very close comparison because they’ll have identical DNA samples since they’re siblings. You take Boruto’s and Kawaki’s blood samples, and you’ll get new information. Now, all of you will think, “Isn’t this going to combat the previous notion?” No, it’s not. It will create a new idea in their heads that Boruto is also Naruto’s son.
Here’s something I haven’t seen anyone doing: Why are we even trying to fight Kawaki? Why are we even trying to fight the notion that Boruto is Naruto’s son? Notice that Boruto hasn’t attempted this route at all, and there’s a reason for that—it’s pretty apparent, in my opinion. It’s because it won’t work, and he knows that. Why waste your time and effort on a route that isn’t successful? However, I think utilizing this route is a way of working around it.
You’re not combating the previous information by saying that Kawaki is not Naruto’s son. You’re not combating what you’ve had before by having anyone think everything about them has been switched. No, instead, you have the inverse of that. You then get Kawaki, who is not Naruto’s son, and Boruto, again, Naruto’s other son. And it works because all you’re doing is adding new information. You’re not removing anything from what they’ve had before, and that’s fine. That works perfectly if you ask me.
Suppose you were to put a gun to my head and tell me what is the most successful route that Boruto could go right now to clear his name. In that case, I will tell you the most straightforward way: prove that he’s Naruto’s son, which is the same thing he’s been trying to show—that he is Boruto Uzumaki. He’s not over here trying to combat Kawaki being Naruto’s son; he’s just trying to prove who he is. And that’s the most effective route, which is why you don’t have anyone going down the obvious routes of previous DNA or birth pictures. It’s not going to work. Omniscience will overwrite all of that.
However, as Eida has previously stated, if you want to combat that, all you have to do is circumvent the notion that Kawaki and Boruto’s relationship doesn’t have to be the same. They don’t have to be the same person. You don’t have to reverse their lives to prove that Boruto is Naruto’s son. If you take that approach, you’d have a route to breaking Omniscience.
