P-31M BOAT BONDING PUTTY is a trowelable, flowable non-sag bonding/filling polyester putty developed for marine industry use for the original manufacture of boats and other FRP structures. The unique trowelable, flowable non-sag handling properties of P-31M make it a very desirable bonding/filling putty over other types currently being used. This system has a very low exotherm on cure and does not create shrink and bond lines in the finished parts. The versatility of P31-M is that when used as supplied and catalyzed with MEK-P (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) it results in a trowelable, flowable non-sag putty system with moderate work life (25 minutes). P-31M Bonding Putty is a light grey color and when used with a colored catalyst (MEK-P) it creates a color change in the mixture that insures thorough mixing. This feature prevents any soft spots or unmixed material being applied, thereby reducing any possible bond failure or weak spots after application. The material’s ability to bond and fill in a single application allows for increased productivity and higher quality bond than previously available.
