MARINE BOND AND FILL is a trowelable, non-sag paste-filled polyester bonding/filler system developed for use in the marine industry for the original manufacture of boats and other structures. The unique handling properties of Marine Bond and Fill make it a very desirable system over other types currently being used. This system has a very low exotherm on cure and does not create shrink and bond lines in the finished parts. The material is so versatile that when used as supplied and catalyzed with MEK-P (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) it results in a trowelable paste system with moderate work life (20-30 minutes). Marine Bond and Fill is an off-white color and when used with a colored catalyst (MEK-P) it creates a color change in the mixture that insures thorough mixing. This feature prevents any soft spots or unmixed material being applied, thereby reducing any possible bond failure or weak spots after application. Marine Bond and Fill bonds fiberglass to: fiberglass, wood, metal and other substrates. The material’s ability to fill and bond in a single application allows for increased productivity and higher quality bond than previously available.
Features:
- Two component polyester, non-sag off-white paste
- 20-30 Minute Work Life
- Off-White
A trowel-able, filled paste polyester bonding/filler system developed for the marine industry fabricators. Unique handling, low shrink and low exotherm make this system an excellent choice.
Applications: Typical applications include: bonding decks to hulls, fairing surfaces on counter weights and balances, filling of large voids, imbedding material for balsa, imbedding material for anchoring bulkheads, stringers and motor mounts and other fabrication and production requirements.
